Throughout March, Curves Guernsey will be supporting local charities by collecting food for the annual Curves Local Charity Drive! All food/toiletries collected will be donated to GSPCA, The Womens Refuge & the Guernsey Welfare Service.

Designed especially for women, Curves located at Admiral Park will waive its service fee for new members from 1st to 30th March in return for pet food, non-perishable food & toiletries. The total amount collected will be donated to the GSPCA, Refuge & Guernsey Welfare Service in recognition of the wonderful work they do in our community. Existing members will also be encouraged to donate to these worthwhile charities.

Becky Chandler, Manager of Curves Guernsey, said: "Collecting these donations during the Annual Curves Local Charity Drive is something which unites the Curves community globally and we're delighted to champion these charities, whose goals of supporting and strengthening people in the local community match Curves’ core values extremely well.”

Curves have been collecting and donating to charity during March for the 2 years and has so far collected in excess of 3000kg

Becky says “The Local Charity Drive is a vital part of our community program that fits perfectly with the Curves philosophy of promoting positive health and creating a community for “real women”.  We look forward to many years of giving back to the community through deserving charities such as these. Why not help us to continue supporting our Local community by calling us for a free tour and fitness Assessment!”

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said "We are so pleased that Curves Guernsey have chosen the Animal Shelter once again as part of this food collection drive."

"We have 200 to 300 animals and birds at the GSPCA in our care at any one time and every little helps feed these many hungry mouths."

"Last year they collected for the Shelter and there was so much food we ran out of shelf space."

"A huge thanks to Becky and all at Guernsey Curves and it's fantastic news that they are helping ourselves, The Womens Refuge & the Guernsey Welfare Service through their annual Curves Local Charity Drive."
