This week over 70 children took part in some Easter fun at the Animal Shelter in St Andrews.

Children met the Easter Bunny and GSPCA Manager Steve Byrne before having a tour of many of the animals, especially the bunny rabbits.

As the groups were shown around they had a treasure hunt to complete whilst learning all about rabbits.

After the tour the groups arrived at the events room where after finding out the answers and receiving prizes they were issued with buckets for an Easter Egg Hunt.

With lots of fun and games, refreshments on sale and Joni face painting, there was plenty to do and see.

During the week we raised over £700 and are thankful to all that supported.

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said "We've had a great week at the GSPCA with our Easter Egg, Bunny and Treasure Hunts."

"Each day they started at 11am and we sold out places every day."

"We are very grateful to Waitrose Rohais and Admiral Park as well as the Co-op for donations towards the prizes."

"For only £10 each child got to meet the many bunnies as well as many of the other animals, learn all about rabbits and a chance to win lots of prizes."

"On the last day the children even got to meet some of our puppies which was very exciting for them."

"We are very thankful to Joni who came along to paint faces for the children that attended to help raise funds."

"Thank you to everyone that supported us especially the Easter Bunny who came along, as every penny will help animals in Guernsey."
