FIRST EVER GSPCA Fun Dog Show at the North Show Wednesday 24th August 2pm Main Arena and come along and see our stall

On Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th August it is the North Show and the GSPCA will be there with a stall for the fifth year in a row.
Not only will we have a stall but we are also getting involved in a much bigger way with the first ever Fun Dog Show to be run at Saumarez Park during the North Show by the GSPCA.
To enter please bring along your canine friend or friends on the Wednesday and register at the GSPCA stall which will be next to the main arena.
The show takes place from 2.00pm in the Main Arena and along with the GSPCA team will be judged by presenters from Island FM.
The fun dog show classes are -
Best male puppy (2yrs and under)
Best female puppy (2 years and under)
Best Rescue
Best Smile
Waggiest Tail
Prettiest Bitch
Most Handsome dog
Show us a trick
Golden Oldies (7 yrs +)
Finished with a Best in Show (winners of the previous classes)
It is £1 per class and automatic entry for class winners into Best in Show
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said "The summer is always extremely busy for us at the GSPCA between the many animals that we help to all of the fantastic events of which many we attend."

The North Show is one of the main events in Guernsey's summer calendar, and takes place in the wonderful rural setting of Saumarez Park.
The Guernsey North Show and Guernsey Battle of Flowers, is held in August each year and this year it takes place on 26th and 27th August.
The Guernsey North Show and Battle of Flowers is run by the Northern Agricultural and Horticultural Society and the GSPCA are very grateful to them for allowing us to come along.
Each year the Show attracts thousands of visitors to: The displays of exhibitors' entries, ranging from Guernsey livestock through fur and feather, fruit, vegetables, flowers, flower arrangements, cookery, photography, art and craft.
This is the fifth year in a row the GSPCA have taken a stall along and we will have lots on sale and games to play.
The programme of arena events, showcasing local and off-island talent, and including in the afternoon of day two, the Guernsey Battle of Flowers, which culminates in the evening illuminated cavalcade, the whole rounded off with a firework display.
The Show is also supported throughout the two days by a fair, and refreshment and other stalls and displays.
