Last month two of our kittens were rehomed to Alderney.

Jack and Jill were the first kittens to be born at the Shelter this year.  They were born on the 12th February from a stray cat called Darwina who has had a number of health problems, but fortunately has raised two gorgeous kittens.

When Jack and Jill became available for adoption we placed them on our website and social networks.  A lovely lady by the name of Patti Brett spotted them on our facebook page and got in touch.

As with all adoptions Patti was asked to go through the procedure and after the short process was complete, flights arranged and kittens vet checked she popped over to take them to their new home.

Now named Jack and Loulou they have settled in and are doing extremely well.  Patti is delighted with them and has shared a number of pictures with the Shelter Jack and Loulou the kittens in their new home in Alderney from GSPCA Guernseyshowing how they have made themselves at home.

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said 'We always have over 50 animals and birds of all shapes and sizes looking for homes and no matter where you live in the Bailiwick you can adopt an animal from the Shelter.'  'We have recently rehomed a dog to Jersey and a rabbit to Herm so if you are looking for a new pet please think about rescuing an animal in need.'  ‘We rescue animals every day at the Shelter and it is wonderful when those born at the Shelter find their happily every after.’
