This year we are pleased to announce that as part of the entertainment for the Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday this weekend we have a grand parade taking place at 3pm.
You can join in too as we are looking for volunteers to dress up in Animal Mascot suits or animal owners to walk their pets to help collect for the GSPCA.
The UIM 2014 class 3A and 3B World Powerboat Championships are currently being held in Guernsey and as part of their celebrations they have teamed up with us to have a parade of the boats including the winner along the seafront.
Joining the 20 powerboats will be many local motor bikes and their riders (some in animal costumes) as well as pet owners walking their pets and Giant Animal Mascots collecting for the GSPCA.
There will also be a DJ and the Samba Burros playing their drums to entertain the crowds as part of the parade.
Please note that if you are parked on the Albert Pier you will be unable to move your car between 245pm and 345pm due to the parade.
The events of the day are -
8am Seafront Closes and stalls arrive to set up
930am All cars to be parked & stalls set up (for volunteers and stall holders please report to the Crown Pier)
940am Battle of Britain Parade
11am Registration for the Dog Show starts by M&S
12pm Live Music starts
1230pm Fun Dog Show begins
1pm Giant Animal Mascot Race Its a Knockout on the Crown Pier
130pm Fancy Dress Competition for adults and kids (Mascots can join in)
2pm Giant Animal Mascot Race Its a Knockout on the Crown Pier continues
230pm Animal Selfie Picture Competition
3pm The Grand Parade - Powerboats, Samba Burros, Motorbikes, Mascots.....
4pm Start to pack up and transport items back to the Shelter
6pm Seafront re-opens
