The GSPCA deals with thousands of lost and found reports of animals every year.

To help those that have lost or found a pet the GSPCA now have a page dedicated to many of the contacts and advice you may need.

The page includes links to web sites, useful telephone numbers and advice on what to do.

To see this page and all the advice please go to - http://www.gspca.org.gg/services/lost-found-advice

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said 'There are many web sites and areas for advice on what to with lost and found animals but very few where all of the information is in one place.'

'We have thousands of calls and lost animals come through our door every year and we felt it important that in Guernsey there is one central place for people to go for all of the information and contacts they may need to help find their pet or what to do if they have found one.'

'It is not everything that you can possibly do but it is certainly a very good place to start and if anyone has any other ideas that could be added then we would love to hear about them.'

'Calling the GSPCA with a lost or found animal is always the best place to start but there is much that can be done especially with all of the web sites online.'

If you have any useful information that you think could be added please do not hesitate to email [email protected]
