It is customary for each intake of probationary student officers to arrange a charity event to raise money for a charity of their choosing. This is not compulsory but is embraced by most Student Officer Intakes as a way to go out into the community that they are preparing to ultimately Police.
Guernsey Police Student Officers Class 1 of 2014 have chosen the GSPCA as their charity of choice.
Their chosen event is a half island walk.  Anyone who wishes to join them for any part of the walk is more than welcome, and your furry friends are welcome too. 
Collection buckets for kind donations will be at the start and end of the walk and at the various check points along the route (tba).   Alternatively please use the link below to make an online donation.  
You wont be able to miss the students, they will be dressed as various animals.
Date:  Friday 18th April 2014
Walk commences from: Portelet Bay Kiosk (by the Imperial Hotel)
Walk commences at: 9.00 a.m. (mustering from 8.30 am onwards)
Route being taken: Round the west coast, via north of the Island, the Bridge and into town.
Walk concludes at: Liberation Monument, St Peter Port
Anyone wishing to bring their dog on the walk is asked to ensure that it is kept on the lead at all times and please dont forget your pooper scoopers too - Thank You.
