With Summer upon us and the nice weather enabling the outside jobs to be done in the sun the GSPCA are always looking for help with the maintenance and grounds around the Animal Shelter.

Yesterday the team at the GSPCA were over joyed to welcome 10 staff from Northern Trust who gave their day to help the team at the Animal Shelter in St Andrews with all sorts of jobs that desperately needed doing.

The staff from Northern Trust arrived at 9am where they sat in the sun for a quick induction with GSPCA Manager Steve Byrne before they were set to work around the site in St Andrews.

From weeding and gardening to painting fences and rabbit hutches, cleaning the stable to sorting out cages the staff from Northern Trust worked extremely hard and were a fantastic help.

This is the second Northern Trust group to help at the GSPCA and we are all extremely grateful for all of their help.

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said 'The team of 10 staff from Northern Trust worked like you just wouldn't believe, as soon as they started going they completed jobs as quickly as we gave them to them.'

'All of the team at the GSPCA really enjoyed the Northern Trust staff helping out and are extremely grateful for all of their help.'

'This is the second of three days staff from Northern Trust are coming along to help at the GSPCA and we have heard that those that have been enjoyed helping out and those coming are looking forward to their day next month.'

'We must thank all 11 in the first group and the 10 staff in the second group from Northern Trust for all their help and we look forward to meeting the next group in August.'

At the end of the day those helping were awarded with certificates of appreciation and given the full guided tour behind the scenes at the Animal Shelter.

From all at the GSPCA a huge thank you to all at Northern Trust and especially Elizabethh, Steven, Kees, Vanessa, Marie-Claire, Ben, Ian, Colin, Karen and Anne.
