As part of the Easter celebrations and our 150th year we have planned some Easter themed Childrens Art Events and also Easter Educational Guided Tours to see some of the areas of the Animal Shelter, look back at our rich history and the plans for the future.
Childrens Easter Art Event
These are going to be run by two of the most arty team members we have at the GSPCA Sarah Harrison and Karen Lane both who not only have a wealth of knowledge in the arts and creativity, they have a huge range of arty items to help entertain your child.

During half term the GSPCA as part of the GSPCA Purple Month held guided tours to raise funds, show those attending the facilities, plans for the future, talk about our future and all about our 24/7 work.
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “We haven’t shown the public around the GSPCA since 2019 and it was wonderful to have groups in last week, which most were sell outs.”
“From toddlers to those retired we had a huge range of ages keen to learn about our work at the GSPCA, our past, present and future plans.”
This month we celebrate 150 years and GSPCA Purple Month.

We ask for a minimum donation of £15 per person and £8 per child, or £40 for a family of four and a 10% if you have an Islands Families card or an Angel Pen Pal Sponsor.

We ask for a minimum donation of £7 per person and £5 per child, or £20 for a family of four or £18 with an Islands Mum card. In 2019 we have some themed tours which are £20 per child or £17.50 with an Islands Mums card.
The tours take around 80 minutes and you get to see in many of the departments, interact with some of the friendly residents and a variety of species. The special tours can take a little longer.

After another hugely successful Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday where you may have seen the work of the GSPCA show cased on the Seafront this week you can have a guided tour at the GSPCA.

During the school breaks we run a series of guided tours at the GSPCA and we have now planned up to 2020 with some special tours for the children. You can also book a tour for a special event or birthday.
This coming Half Term is your opportunity to visit behind the scenes at our Animal Shelter in St Andrews and see the work being carried out.

The Donkey Derby is always a lovely family day out and why not pop along to see the GSPCA and many other charity stalls tomorrow from 12pm.
We are hugely grateful to the Lions Club of Guernsey that hold the annual event and we look forward joining them this weekend.
This Saturday is a busy day for the GSPCA as we not only have our stall at the Donkey Derby we also have our annual flag day taking place around Guernsey.
