Last night the GSPCA with nearly 50 supporters celebrated World Animal Day which is tomorrow by having an Animal Themed Bingo Night.

Dozens dressed up as animals and even the staff got involved dressing as donkeys, whilst others donned the animal masks that were on the tables.

The guests paid just £14.50 which included 8 games of bingo and some lovely food which catered for all tastes and dietary requirements.

Each game for the first line won a GSPCA teddy and then for a full house the winner had to put their hand up and make an animal noise. For each full house the winner got a cash prize placed in a GSPCA mug Bullseye style which the crowd had to make a whoo noise every time it was mentioned.

The jackpot for the final game was £100 and a very lucky Rosalyn MclLean who won the Mexican Bingo jackpot last month was shocked to find herself winning once again.

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said "A huge thank you to the Last Post and all that supported the GSPCA Animal Themed Bingo last night."

"This is the third bingo night we have run for the GSPCA this year and each one has been great fun."

"We have planned a GSPCA themed bingo night every month except December and if anyone fancies a fun filled evening helping animals in Guernsey then we'd love you to take part."

"We haven't added it all up yet but we should have raised more than £300 for last nights fun filled bingo night and will let everyone know as soon as we've worked it all out."

As part of the evening GSPCA Manager Steve Byrne after the meal presented a few of the staff and volunteers with certificates for the quarter of Summer 2014. Ti find out more please click here. Those present were Guy Hardill, Geoff George and Sarah Ozanne.
