Vale Primary help every single animal at the Shelter #GSPCAPurpleWeek

Last month the GSPCA celebrated 145 years with our #GSPCApurpleWeek.
Many got involved and one very special, generous and kind school was Vale Primary who last week donated over 500 items from hay to animal feed to help the 500 animals in our care.
At the start of #GSPCAPurpleWeek GSPCA Manager Steve Byrne went to see the 500 pupils and talk to them about the work of the Shelter and this week three reception classes enjoyed guided tours at the GSPCA.
Last week GSPCA team member Kevin Beausire went along to Vale Primary School to collect all of the food and donations and there was that much he had to get some help to load it all in the van.
Kevin said "I really couldn't beleive how much food, hay and items that Vale Primary School had collected it was truly amazing."
"There was so so much that the children had to help me otherwise I would have been there all day."
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said "Vale Primary School are just fantastic, the children have been so keen to learn about our work and the amount of donations they recently collected for our #GSPCAPurpleWeek was so fantastic."

"This week we had the chance to show the three reception classes around who all seemed to have a wonderful time and they got to see some of the things they had donated with the many animals in our care."
