Name:
Butterscotch and Trixie - Looking for a home!
Animal:
Rabbit
Breed:
Agouti X
Age:
Both born 2018
More Info:
This newly paired couple are looking for their forever home!
Butterscotch and Trixie have both been unlucky in finding a home but have luckily found each other. It has taken a long bonding process for these two to settle together but now they are happy!
Butterscotch has been at the shelter for a very long time and he has not had it very easy with his fluctuating behaviour. But now he has a girl that can stand up to his moody ways and is just as active as he is. They both love being outside no matter the weather and like to just sit outside watching everything going on around them.
Butterscotch can be quite temperamental with people he does not know but if someone approaches his enclosure he does get intrigued by whats going on but he prefers his own company. He is not very good to handle as he's very fast to catch and hates being picked up, so this is only done when absolutely necessary. He may not be the friendliest of rabbits but he does have his loving playful side too.
Trixie is a very inquisitive bunny and doesn't mind interacting with people as long as they do not try to pick her up. She needs time to build up a trust with someone and once she does she likes to have her head-rubs. She absolutely loves her food and will always be accepting of treats! And where she can she will dig!
Our ideal home is;
- Large outdoor living area
- Experienced rabbit owner
- No children
- A patient owner
Butterscotch has been at the shelter since May 2018 and Trixie has been at the shelter since November 2020.
