Join the GSPCA at the South Show for our lots of fun and a Fun Dog Show at 2pm Saturday 12th August 2023.

Registration from 11am, judging by GSPCA Manager Steve Byrne from 2pm.

£1 per entry per class minimum donation.

All breeds welcome.

Classes include:

Best male puppy (under 2yrs)
Best female puppy (under 2yrs)
Lovely Ladies
Fabulous Fellas
Best Rescue
Waggiest Bum with Happiest Handler
Golden Oldies (7 yrs +)
Best Trick Best in Show (winners of the previous classes)

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “We are very excited to announce that after a few years break the South Show has moved back into the field at St Martins Community Centre as well as the Centre itself and on Saturday 12^th August we will have our GSPCA stall and we will be running a Fun Dog Show.”

“Entry forms are on our blog on our website or available on the day and registration starts on Saturday from 11am with judging at 2pm.”

The South Show website page said this week ‘We are really pleased to announce the return of the South Show Fun Dog Show this year and are even more delighted that the GSPCA will be running this with us.

The Dog Show is being held on Saturday 12th August in the field at St Martins Community Centre at around 2.00pm. Entry forms will be available on the day from around 11.00 onwards and will cost just £1 per dog, per class.

All proceeds from the Dog Show will go to the GSPCA to support the amazing work they do day in day out for our local wildlife, livestock and our much loved pets.

The classes are as follows and you can enter your dog in as many classes as they are eligible for!

• Best Male Puppy (under 2 yrs)

• Best Female Puppy (under 2 yrs)

• Lovely Ladies

• Fabulous Fells

• Best Rescue

• Waggiest Bum & Happiest Owner (don’t get these mixed up!)

• Gold Oldies (7yrs +)

• Best Trick

The winner from each of these will then go forward for Best in Show to see who wins the South Show Cup (kindly donated by Forest Stores) which they get to keep for one year!
