The Christmas lottery jackpot is getting ever closer to a possible £1 million jackpot and do you have your tickets.

The GSPCA are once again selling the Christmas Lottery Tickets at our reception desk 9am - 5pm Monday to Saturday and this year 11am to 4pm on Sundays.

Like last year the top prize increases with ticket sales and in 2015 we saw a £1.16M jackpot

With a second prize of £100,000, third prize £25,000 and Fourth prize made up of 10 prizes of £1,000 the 2016 draw will take place on Tuesday 20 December.

As in previous years, the total lottery proceeds will go to good causes across the Channel Islands.

Proceeds from sales in Guernsey will go to the Association of Guernsey Charities, as has been the case since 1986.

Association vice-chairman Malcolm Woodhams said over the years £3.5M had been raised for local organisations and the GSPCA have been very grateful to a number of grants towards projects at the Shelter from intensive Care Units to our new Multi Purpose Building.

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said "For the last few years we have sold Christmas Lottery Tickets at the GSPCA reception and shop area and for the first time we are open on Sundays."

"We are hugely grateful to the Christmas Lottery and the Association of Guernsey Charities who have helped us with a number of projects at the GSPCA thanks to the proceeds raised from the lottery."

"This week the lottery grants have opened for charities to apply for and we are so grateful over the years for the amazing support we have had here at the GSPCA."
