On Wednesday while the Grand Opening took place the GSPCA held an afternoon Volunteer Induction at the Shelter in St Andrews.

5 new volunteers came along and were inducted by Sarah Creasey Animal Education and Welfare Officer.

The Induction which took place just after 3pm included a talk from Sarah about the work of the GSPCA, what we do, how volunteers can help and training on the health and safety aspects of helping at the Shelter and with our events.

All enjoyed a lovely afternoon with Sarah and after the induction Sarah spoke to each of the Volunteers and the first two Chloe and Jasmine started on Thursday morning with another new volunteer from a precious induction called Nathan.

Sarah Creasey GSPCA Animal Welfare and Education Officer said “After a lovely Grand Opening we greeted and inducted 5 new volunteers who are all very keen to help the many animals in our care at the GSPCA.”

“We run volunteer inductions every month at the Shelter and we now have over 100 volunteers helping every week from the 24/7 emergency warden service to walking the dogs.”

“We have an amazing team of volunteers and we appreciate all they do as each one helps make a difference in helping animals in Guernsey.”
