The GSPCA has had to grow in recent years to meet the demands on our services and ensure the care and rescue of animals in need.

“In our 151 years we have seen many incredible team members and UK of those Aimee and Nicola have recently moved back to the UK and Sarah is also soon off on her new chapter in her life.”

The GSPCA couldn’t achieve so much without our dedicated trained staff and we currently recruiting for staff, especially for those available during weekends and bank holidays.
It is preferable if applicants have a driving licence, but not necessarily essential at this time.

There are two roles which we are currently in need of staff that being Casual Receptionist and Casual Animal Care. It is preferable if applicants have a driving licence , but not necessarily essential at this time.
At the GSPCA Animal Shelter in St Andrews we have two permanent and a casual post which we are currently looking to recruit individuals with excellent customer and animal care skills.
Working for the GSPCA is a diverse and often challenging position with great rewards from the 3000 animals we help through the doors 24/7 each year to the community we serve here in Guernsey.

The GSPCA are currently looking for additional casual staff members to help with our increasingly busy front desk, the animals, guided tours, cleaning and to continue to develop our charity shop area.
Casual positions help cover the 7 day a week work, especially on weekends and bank holidays when the GSPCA is often extremely busy and very much with cover for holidays or illness.

The GSPCA Community & Training Officer is a unique role designed to not only set up the first ever Animal Care NVQ's in Guernsey, it is also a post to help benefit a greater number of placements through Social Security and increase their skills amongst other challenges.
