The GSPCA in September opened our new Charity Shop in Smith Street and it has been doing extremely well headed up by Michelle Champion and her great team of volunteers.
The shop is located next to Fillers and some may remember it as the Christian Aid or Oxfam shop.
Normal open hours are 8am to 530pm Monday to Saturday but with the Late Night Christmas Shopping events.
In June the OSA Recruitment Popup shop was occupied by ChéZoë (Karien) and Afrisey (Maria).
They had a great time on Smith Street and while there they were raising funds for the GSPCA.
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “A huge thanks to ChéZoë (Karien) and Afrisey (Maria) who raised an amazing £200 while at the OSA Recruitment Shop in June.”
“It is amazing the range of ways supporters raise funds for us at the GSPCA and every penny really helps make a difference to the thousands of animals we help every year.”
On Monday the first ever off site GSPCA Charity Shop opened its doors.
Many will be aware that during covid we had to close the onsite charity shop at the GSPCA for a number of reasons which includes it is being transformed into a small animal unit.
The shop, headed up by Michelle Champion and her great team of volunteers has had a fantastic first week and lots of kind and positive feedback.
