In March 2020 the world changed to a place no-one envisaged.
On the 10th March 2020 the GSPCA moved early when we ceased all non essential services such as events, training courses and anything that could involve bringing people together to lower any risk of the spread of covid-19.
This of course caused huge issues in raising funds to rehoming animals and presented many challenges, but we had to carry out our essential 24/7 services and care for the many animals at the GSPCA.
This Sunday the GSPCA will once again be on the Seafront for the second EDABL Seafront Sunday and third of the year taking place in St Peter Port.
This Sunday from 10am till 4pm the GSPCA are delighted to say we will be joining the EDABL Seafront Sunday to raise much needed funds and promote the work of the Animal Shelter.
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said "We always have great fun at the Seafront Sundays and not only are we looking forward to this weekend, we are appealing for volunteers to help at the second EDABL Seafront Sunday on the 27th June."
Last week the GSPCA team took part in training in Pet Bereavement thanks to the Guernsey Bereavement Service.
Sadly every day of the year staff and volunteers at the GSPCA help owners of pets that have died, whether recently or in the past and it is always hard to know if you are saying the right thing.
