The Guernsey Together Festival is back and bigger and better for 2023.
The celebration of music, dance, food and drink and a great Guernsey vibe will be held over two days, on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th May, at the Rabbit Warren, behind the go kart Track.
All the best elements that have made the last two Guernsey Together Festivals such a brilliant event are back.
Earlier today the GSPCA were called out to rescue one of the most regal and stunning of birds in Guernsey.
Animal Collection Officer Geoff George was called out to the Model Yacht Pond which is renowned for sea birds such as Gulls, but was faced with a much more unusual feathered bird.
The bird he was called to rescue was none other than a female kingfisher.
The bird has been rehydrated and seems in reasonable health but Shelter staff have now made her comfortable at the GSPCA.
This year we are pleased to announce that as part of the entertainment for the Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday this weekend we have a grand parade taking place at 3pm.
You can join in too as we are looking for volunteers to dress up in Animal Mascot suits or animal owners to walk their pets to help collect for the GSPCA.
The UIM 2014 class 3A and 3B World Powerboat Championships are currently being held in Guernsey and as part of their celebrations they have teamed up with us to have a parade of the boats including the winner along the seafront.
We would like to thank Regency, LH & Chaos Events and the GMMCC who are providing entertainment this Sunday from 12pm along the Seafront.
It is the third year the GSPCA are holding the Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday and this year we have another wonderful line up of great music.
A huge thank you also to those below that will be providing this fantastic music -
