Last month the GSPCA held it’s 10th Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday.
As part of the day we held an Animal Mascot Olympic Race which was headed up by Lorna Chadwick and Ozy Chadwick as time keepers and adjudicators, Steve Byrne as compare and Tim Pellet heading up the costumes and collecting donations.
The top prize was a pair of tickets to Alderney thanks to Aurigny the many of the competitors not only entertained the crowds really wanted to win the top prize.

“We had 20 entrants who dressed up as giant animals and raced a fun obstacle course entertaining the crowds.”
“It is hilarious and we had both an adult and kids race and the overall winner was Mickey the Penguin with a very impressive time.”
“A huge thanks to all that took part and support our Animal Mascot Olympics it really was great fun raising funds for our work at the GSPCA.”
“The biggest event in our calendar was a huge success and will hopefully have raised around £8,000 when all the funds are in.”
