The GSPCA in recent years has seen more rabbits needing homes than dogs or cats.
Hundreds of rabbits every year come through our doors.
Sadly many of them have issues with their teeth and one of those currently is Willow.
Willow was found as a stray last October and sadly no owner was found.
She had a very poorly eye when she arrived and after investigations she has to have a dental operation.

Ollie Bourgaize GSPCA Animal Care Assistant said “Willlow arrived in October as a stray and despite us trying to find the owner no one has come forward.”
“Her eye didn’t look very healthy when she arrived and working with our vets we have found that she needs an operation.”
“Many rabbits can get dental problems especially if they don’t get the right food or chews.”

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “Willow is one of just hundreds of rabbits we help every year and we have many looking for homes currently, in fact often as many as 30 ready for homes.”
“We are currently looking at building a new small animal area due to the sheer numbers we help every year which has grown in numbers to the highest levels in recent years.”
