GSPCA chosen as finalist in the Sure Customer Service Awards in Best Use of Social Media & Volunteer Suzy Rose Highly Commended

The GSPCA have been recently contacted by the Sure Customer Service Awards with the wonderful news that we are a finalist in the Best Use of Social Media.
This follows a period of public nominations, and a judging panel meeting last week to decide the deserved finalists in each of the nine categories.
We have also been informed that GSPCA volunteer, Suzy Rose, whilst not a finalist, was highly commended in the category of Humble Volunteer.
In 2014 Helen Holmes and in 2016 Michelle Champion from the GSPCA were previously awarded Humble Volunteer of the Year and it is so wonderful that the work and caring individuals have been recognised once again at the GSPCA
Everyone of the 11,208 nominations will have been wonderful individuals, businesses or charities doing the best they can in customer care and at the GSPCA thank you to those that thought the team needed to be recognised for the work carried out 24/7 and that of Suzy Rose.
The GSPCA have been invited to the Awards event which is on Thursday 6th July in Market Square, from 5.00-7.00pm.
The informal event is hosted by Island FM and it is a relaxed, family-friendly event, with drinks and nibbles, and a fun atmosphere.

"Social media has transformed the way we work and communicate with the public and our supporters to ensure we can show case our work to help reunite stray animals, fund raise for animals needing operations to publicise our events."
"Some of our stories have gone global such as Olivia the turtle who had a VT seen by over a million people in two days and who can forget the dead cat that was actually a hand puppet which featured on websites and national papers around the world."
"It is also wonderful that Suzy Rose has been highly commended in the Sure Customer Service Awards as she does so much helping so many people from helping on the ambulance to school trips."
