At the GSPCA we always have many animals in need of new homes.
Often the dogs find homes very quickly as we have a list of those looking but sometimes the older dogs are harder to find that forever home.
One of these older chaps in need is Pepe. Pepe is a lovely little dog facing many challenges as he has limited eye sight; but he can see shadows and loves people and is a spritely little man.
He is on a special diet to keep his skin in good condition and does have a heart murmur but these don't appear to be affecting his quality of life and he has had a thorough check up by our veterinary staff.
Pepe is looking for a calm quiet household with an individual or family that are happy to give him lots of love and cuddles, he could live with children but not with cats. Really lovely lad.
Sheryl Carre Animal Care Assistant who helps with rehoming the dogs at the Shelter said 'Pepe is currently with a foster carer, but we would love to find him that forever retirement home.'
'He is a lovely old chap and if you can help Pepe or any older dog we would love to hear from you.'
'It's not just dogs and cats at the Shelter in need of homes as we have plenty of rabbits, birds, other animals and even a horse.'
