On Saturday at Les Cotils a very special event was held in aid of two charities, Clic Sargent and the GSPCA.
Wend Woodcock said “On Saturday 17th April 2021, seventy-seven generous and glamorous ladies attended a fun-filled charity luncheon at Les Cotils to raise funds for the GSPCA.”
“Steve Byrne, Manager of the GSPCA, was invited to give a quick overview and informative slideshow.”
“It was an eye-opener for them to see how large the GSPCA is and the diverse work it undertakes daily.”
“Elaine Lockett and I were the charity event organisers and initially wished to buy the GSPCA an intensive care incubator for premature and post-operative animals with advance ticket proceeds.”
“We purchased and delivered it weeks before the event to catch the spring babies as it was in urgent need.”
“The luncheon’s success exceeded expectations, and the overwhelming generosity of these ladies raised enough funds to order two more animal incubators, saving lives for years to come.”

“It was a real pleasure to be invited along and talk about our vital 24/7 work at the GSPCA.”
“One intensive care unit is already in use saving lives and thanks to the generosity of all involved a further two are on route and will help make a real difference.”
“With few fund raisers and next to no boarding due to lockdown the GSPCA income has been hit hard and we need your support now more than ever.”
