BREAKING NEWS – Squirrel on the loose in Guernsey.

The GSPCA have just had a report that a squirrel has accidentally found its way to Guernsey via a vehicle.

Any reports please contact us with any reports of sightings via 257261 or [email protected]

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “Breaking news we have just had a report that there is a grey squirrel near Bluchip in St Sampsons.”

“It seems very healthy and has run off and the GSPCA are appealing for any sightings to email us [email protected] or call 257261.”

“Grey squirrels are not indigenous to Guernsey and we have let the States of Guernsey know.”

“Trying to catch a healthy squirrel will be very challenging until we know the area it settles in but all reports are much appreciated and we will release more information when we know.”

“We are about to enter Spring and we are already seeing lots of young animals needing our care from baby birds to baby bunnies.”
