We are pleased to report that Catrina the stray cat that was found at L'Islet after a road traffic accident nearly two weeks ago has had her operation yesterday at Isabelle Vets.
We are extremely grateful to all that have donated and an amazing £600 has been raised to date and thank you to all that are helping Catrina and of course her many friends at the GSPCA.

The very sweet and affectionate cat was rescued by the GSPCA with multiple injuries after being found by some very kind members of public.
Catrina that evening was rushed to the vets as she had no skin on her tail and couldn't walk as well as being painfully thin.
The grey tabby adult cat has been in the care of Isabelle Vets ever since as she has needed intensive veterinary care 24/7.
After 11 days of care the vets decided she was strong enough to undergo an operation to help repair her pelvis.
The operation was no simple procedure and needed the experienced staff to spend many hours pinning her pelvis and ensuring they avoided any injury to the spine and other vital organs.
Last night Vet Dr. Doreen Ford BVMS CertSAS MRCVS called GSPCA Manager Steve Byrne to give an update.
Steve says "It has been hard not to fall in love with Catrina as despite multiple injuries she is an extremely sweet cat."
"When Catrina was found she had no microchip or collar and we have been unable to find her owner which is a surprise as she is so sweet."
"The wonderful team at Isabelle Vets decided yesterday Catrina was fit enough to have an operation to help fix her pelvis which took hours and they have kindly helped us by doing all they can for her at a much reduced cost and we are so grateful to them."
"After the appeal for her owner and support towards her operation an amazing £600 has been raised already which covers most of the operation cost although she still has treatments and care needed which will mean her care will likely cost just over £1000."
"There are many ways to donate and support Catrina and the many animals at the GSPCA and we are so grateful to each person that supports our work which is carried out 24/7 365 days a year."
"Although the operation was no easy task she will need to stay at the vets a few more days yet and plenty of after care and treatment."
"Dr. Doreen Ford from Isabelle Vets called last night to talk us through her operation and how well it had gone and how well she coped."
"It was lovely to hear that shortly after her operation and as she woke up from the anesthetic she was tucking into some food."
"Catrina will be on restricted exercise for at least a month or two and will need regular check ups and treatments."
"We are looking forward Catrina coming back to the Shelter on Monday and will of course keep all up to date."
"We continue to appeal for anyone that knows who she may belong to."
