Bailey a 3 year old Shih Tzu is an extremely sweet and wonderful natured lady which all of the staff and volunteers have fallen in love with at the GSPCA.
Since arriving at the GSPCA, as sadly her owner could no longer care for her, it was quickly established that she was in need of an operation and a number of treatments.
Last week Bailey went along to the vets to be sedated for an operation after having blood in her urine and difficulty urinating. The vets performed an operation which resulted in removing 4 very large bladder stones.
Bailey is doing much better now but is still under close observation, veterinary care and treatments.

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said "Bailey is such a sweet girl and she must have been in so much pain with her bladder stones."
"Bailey has had her operation to remove the bladder stones and is much improved although she is still under veterinary care and treatments and we are keeping a close on eye on her as she recovers."
