The Specsavers Unsung Hero is a people’s award that recognises someone who has worked selflessly for the benefit of others within the community of the Bailiwick of Guernsey.
The winner of the award will receive a trophy and a £3,000 travel voucher as well as a donation to their nominated charitable cause.
The winner will be announced at the Awards Gala evening on Thursday 9 February 2017.
All of the GSPCA team are immensely proud that GSPCA Animal Collection Officer Geoff George is a finalist in the Guernsey Awards for Achievement Specsavers Unsung Hero with 5 other amazing local individuals.
Geoff George is a real star and has been a huge part in helping thousands of families and individuals with their pets, animals and with countless wild animals around the Channel Islands.
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said "At the GSPCA we are graced with such a fantastic team and Geoff is without doubt an amazing member of that team who always goes over and above working around clock to help animals and of course their families."
