Elsie loving her new home

At the GSPCA we love to hear how the animals adopted from the GSPCA are settling in and recently we heard from the owner of Elsie the 14 year old cat who was recently adopted.

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “Elsie arrived at the GSPCA last August with a number of health issues as a stray with no microchip.”

“With no owner coming forward and after months of care Elsie who is 14 years of age was put up for adoption.”

“Last month she found her forever home and we have had some pictures of her looking very happy recently which is wonderful.”

“We have lots of other animals in need and if you are looking for a pet please do get in touch.”

“From chickens to cockerels, rabbits to ferrets, cats to turtles we have a huge range of animals in need and you can always register your interest for any species that might come in needing a new home.”

Ali Le Huray GSPCA Staff Member said “It was wonderful to rehome Elsie last month and great to hear she is so happy.”

“We currently have a lot of cats looking for homes and will soon have some kittens so if you are looking please to complete an adoption form so we can add you to the list.”

New owner Dr Phil Rankilor said “I thought you might like to see how well Elsie has settled in after two weeks living with me.”

“She's lovely, eating well, toileting well and spending time sitting on my lap watching tv (me not her).”

“Thank you all so much for finding me such a lovely lady with whom to share my life.”

“Take care and know your efforts to re-house cats are so much appreciated.”
