On Friday the 4th April also know as World Stray Day the GSPCA will be in Market Bistro with a stall and selection of animals looking for new homes.
We are also pleased to announce that Market Bistro will be donating to the GSPCA to help animals for every coffee sold so please do pop in to support them and us.
After spending Monday to Thursday this week at the OSA Recruitment Pop Up Shop in Smith St as part of Pet Adoption Month and World Stray Day, we will have animals in need of homes and posters of those at the Shelter in need.
We see and help with over 1000 stray animals in Guernsey every year and we will be highlighting the importance of microchipping and the other ways to help in loosing or finding a pet.
We will be setting up for a 10am start and will be packing away around 4.30pm, so pop down and say hello on Friday 4th April.
If your dog isn't yet microchipped staff will be chipping through the day and all we ask is for a donation.
We last had a stall in Market Square on World Animal Day on the 4th October last year where not only did we find homes for animals at the Shelter we also raised over £500.
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said 'We have a busy week from the 31st March with our pop up shop thanks to OSA Recruitment and at the Careers Show today, but on Friday the 4th April we will be in Market Square to highlight the numbers of strays we help every year at the GSPCA.'
'We are so thankful to the Market Bistro who are donating towards the Shelter for every coffee they sell so please pop in and get a cup to help stray animals in Guernsey.'
'If are passing with your dog and need it microchipped then staff will be on hand to do this for only a donation.'
'April is also Pet Adoption Month so its a great opportunity to try and find some of our animal guests new homes so we will be bringing some along with us.'
