On Sunday the Guernsey Cockapoo group organised a wonderful event on Pembroke Beach for dog owners.
Organised by Kerry Le Cheminant they raised an amazing £259 for the GSPCA in just one hour.
Kerry Le Cheminant said “Guernsey Cockapoos arranged a ‘Play Date on the Beach’ on Sunday morning with donations going to the GSPCA.”
“It was a beautiful sunny morning and the dogs had an amazing time playing on the beach and making new friends.”
“There were approximately 50 Cockapoos ranging from 14 weeks old to 8 years old.”
“It was a pleasure to see so many Cockapoos on the beach playing and they all went home rather tired from their play date.”
Steve Byrne GSPCA manager said “We are so thankful to Kerry Le Cheminant, Guernsey Cockapoo and all that attended and supported the Play Date on the Beach at Pembroke on Sunday.”
“It looked like an amazing day with lots of happy dogs and from all at the GSPCA a huge thank you for the amazing £259 raised which well help the 500+ animals at the Shelter.”
“This Sunday we are at the Guernsey Kennel Club Discover Dogs Event so please do come and see us there with lots of dogs on show and things to learn and see.”
