On Saturday it was World Animal Day and the GSPCA celebrated in Guernsey with a number of events.
This weekend we launched our Paws for a Pint wrist bands in many locations across Guernsey and we are extremely grateful to all involved.
On Saturday we had planned to have a stall on the Terrace at Market Square but sadly with the high winds and rain we had to rethink a plan. We are hugely grateful to the team at the Market Bistro who allowed us to set up our stall inside the inner market building. We had a great day raising funds, talking to supporters and promoting animals in need of homes.
On Sunday we had our biggest event which was the Animal Castle Day.
With the weather on our side and the sun shining hundreds turned out to support the fun and informative day.
Castle Cornet was filled with animals from donkeys to tortoise. Sarnia Guinea Pig Rescue brought a few of their guinea pigs, there was face painting and talks, with a very special pirate making a huge hit with the children.
Staff and volunteers manned fun game stalls and a great day was enjoyed by all that were involved.
