Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said "We have a busy day preparing for the biggest event in our calendar which is much earlier this year."
"Not only has the date changed but there are a few other differences such as this year isn't a Mascot Race but a Giant Animal Mascot 5-a-side which we are calling for teams to sign up."
"Also we will have buskers mixed between the many stalls and there is also a very large boat in this year."
"We are calling all stall holders or buskers not yet booked in to please get in touch so we can finalise the plan for the day."
The winner will be chosen at random on the 15th May at our Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday.
We need to get at least another 12kg or more on her to be fit enough for the wild and we are hoping this competition will help raise the funds to get that final weight on her and help with the care that she has had at the GSPCA.
