Alex came to the GSPCA through the Guernsey Employment Trust looking to volunteer and help at the Animal Shelter mainly with administration and accounts.
Little did Alex know that his help would broaden to helping with everything in the office to selling Christmas trees.
Since November Alex has helped Monday to Friday each week in the mornings assisting the team in a variety of roles.
Mostly based in the office with Helen Holmes helping with the work that goes on behind the scenes.
Helen Holmes GSPCA staff member said "Alex has been a great help in the office and I will really miss him."
"He's such a nice person and always willing to help and a big thank you from me and all at the Animal Shelter for his help."
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said "When I met Alex last November he came through the Guernsey Employment Trust looking to gain experience as well as help us at the GSPCA."
"He's been a real star and we will all miss him at the GSPCA."
"For 5 days a week nearly every week Alex has given up so many hours to help us at the GSPCA and not only in the office he has helped in many ways including helping me sell Christmas trees last December in a field to raise funds for the Shelter."
Alex Miller said "I've had a great time at the GSPCA and will miss everyone."
"I'm off to work for Standard Chartered but will certainly help the GSPCA when I can."
