On Friday the 6th December Wayne Walden a member of staff from Credit Suisse gave up a day in the office to help out at the GSPCA.
This is the third occasion in 2014 staff members from Credit Suisse have come to help at the Shelter and the GSPCA are extremely grateful to all of their help.
In the first group we saw Chrissie Robert, Stef Mella and Gordon Irish help around the site and then shortly after we greeted Ross Mansell, Sarah Marshall, April Turvey, Laura Quertier, Tim Eggiman and Rachael Bearder.
All groups arrived just after 9am where they had a short induction. The first group were cared for by Animal Welfare and Education Officer Sarah Creasey and the second group were looked after by GSPCA Manager Steve Byrne.
Wayne had a slightly different day having had his induction with GSPCA Manager Steve Byrne he started helping on hedgehogs then as we had a possible sighting of Bertie the stray schnauzer he accompanied a member of Ambulance staff to help search for the dog near Collings Road.
Sadly there were no signs and they returned to continue caring and helping the many animals around site.
Sarah Creasey said "It was wonderful to meet Chrissie, Stef and Gordon from Credit Suisse, they were a great help and really enjoyed their day."
"Not only did they get the chance to help around the Animal Shelter, but we then took them on a tour before they went home to show them some of the areas they may have missed and presented them with a thank you certificate."
"We always love to hear from businesses that would like to help or support us and you can call 257261 for more details, check out our website or email the Manager on [email protected]."
"A huge thank you to the team from Credit Suisse who were a great help."
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said "Credit Suisse are fantastic and from all at the GSPCA we really have to thank them for all of their support this year."
"The staff from Credit Suisse have helped with everything from deep cleaning the hedgehog unit to searching for Bertie the stray schnauzer."
"It was lovely to meet Wayne and all the team and we really hope to welcome them back next year."
"It wasn't all just animal related work as we had lots of equipment that needed moving and even an old fence needed to be taken down."
"At the end of each of the days we took the groups for a guided tour and presented them with a thank you certificate and newsletter."
"We love hearing from businesses that would like to help or support us in any way from volunteering to sponsoring an event or wish list item and please do give me a call if you would like to know more."
"We have had some amazing businesses help us during 2014 and a huge thank you to them all, we really do appreciate your support."
