GSPCA Animal Advent Calendar Day 8 - Please help cats like Tomsie Hope and Bruce who arrived as strays needing operations

In the last few weeks the GSPCA have helped two stray cats with major health issues.
Bruce a grey and white cat arrived at the GSPCA with a ruptured diaphragm and required a massive operation to help save his life costing just over £1000. Bruce is recovering well in the cattery at the GSPCA but if he hadn’t been seen by the vets he wouldn’t be alive today.
Tomsie as she was called but nicknamed Hope by a few of the staff is a black cat that was rescued from St Peter Port and we have sadly been unable to find an owner.
When she arrived she was extremely nervous, dehydrated and her mouth extremely infected and sore.
Yesterday Tomsie Hope went to Isabelle Vets for a dental operation costing hundreds of pounds and she too is recovering well.
Every year at the GSPCA we help over 1000 cats in different ways from strays to those the owners can no longer care for.
