With the driving wind and rain recently we are asking for your help to gift the cats a little something to keep them dry when the weather is really bad.
We have been trailing perspex clear sheets on some of the cats pens with great success. Each cat pen has an outside section and we have found that hanging the perspex panels on the mesh the cats still have a lovely view and plenty of fresh air while keeping the worst of the weather out.
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “The cats in our care really enjoy their views from the outer pens but with the driving wind and rain they often chose to stay inside while their outer pen gets wet.”
“We have been trailing perspex panel hung on the outer pen mesh which has helped make a huge difference in keeping the cats dry and we are hoping that this Christmas kind supporters will gift the panels for the cats.”
“At £42.42 each we ideally need 88 in total and any help would be hugely appreciated.”
“Two of the cats we have in our care are Tomsie Hope and Bruce both arrived as strays and have needed huge veterinary operations this month.”
“Both cats are doing well and when fully better they will hopefully have a room with a view for Christmas and it would be great if we have the perspex panels all ready for them.”
