The Town Church is hosting a Christmas Tree Festival featuring trees decorated by 20 local and international charities between the 5th and 22nd December, 8.30am to 5pm (open until late on 8th and 15th for late night shopping).

Entry is free so please pop in to see the trees and enjoy some refreshments when you are in Town.

The GSPCA have joined the festival with a locally grown Christmas Tree which was cut on Sunday and set up ready for the opening of this wonderful event.

Steve Byrne GSPCA manager said "On Sunday we popped along to the field where hundreds of locally grown Christmas trees are to cut one for this wonderful event helping raise funds at the Town Church for 20 great charities."

"Our tree is decorated with a few Christmas animals and also a selection of our Christmas Special Angel Pen Pal Sponsorship forms which is a great gift idea for you or a loved one to help animals this Christmas here in Guernsey."

"Our tree also has details of the trees on sale in a field near Oatlands which you can go and dig or cut each day between 2pm and 4.30pm."
