On Saturday GSPCA Welfare and Education Officer Emma Trousdale spent the afternoon talking to staff at the Pet Cabin and customers about responsible pet care and about the animals in need of good homes at the GSPCA Animal Shelter.
Emma Trousdale said 'It was a great chance to talk to the staff and the customers on pet care and a chance to show the animals in need of a home at the GSPCA Animal Shelter.' 'We are always striving to ensure we spread the word of responsible pet ownership and this was a great opportunity to do this.' 'New legislation is due soon in Guernsey to place standards on pet retailers and this is a great opportunity for pet retailers o discuss their current standards and how they could be improved.' 'If any other pet shops are interested then please get in touch with me at the GSPCA Animal Shelter.'
The GSPCA is always working towards educating on responsible pet ownership but we couldn't do this without the kind donations we receive from caring members of public, businesses and our supporters. We have a number of items on a wish list the GSPCA is raising funds for which can be seen by clicking here.
We are very grateful for the recent donations that enabled us to install a new showering facility for dogs at the Animal Shelter.
