Last night in the Market Square the Livingroom Customer Service Awards were held.
Businesses and charities across Guernsey were represented in the many categories.
The GSPCA were lucky enough to have our very own Helen Holmes short listed in the Humble Volunteer category and was overwhelmed to win the award.
Helen Holmes said "I really couldn't believe I won, it was a shock to be on the shot list and I would like to thank those that nominated me."
"It was a lovely evening at the Livingroom Customer Service Awards and there were some amazing people there that do a wonderful job."
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said "At the GSPCA we are all extremely proud of Helen as she is a wonderful person and always puts others first."
"Helen helps out with so many of our fund raisers and is a real star and we are all very proud of her."
"Well done to all the finalists and those nominated and thank you to all of the organisors, it was a lovely event."

- Self-Employed: Debbie Duport, Dance teacher
- Employee of a small business: Louise Dunn, trainer at Storm Force Fitness
- Employee of a medium-sized business: Gary Bougourd, Babbe McCathie
- Employee of a large business: Jan Lilley, Co-Operative, St Martins
- Best team: Lloyds Bank
- Best overall customer experience: Seafresh fishmongers
- Tourism/hospitality: Philippa Ward, Rousse Kiosk
- Aspiring star: Sean Corlett, Paws Petcare
- States/Public sector worker: Robbie Dover, Guernsey Police
- Humble volunteer (charitable): Helen Holmes, GSPCA
- Judges’ award Archana Sharma, La Grande Mare Hotel.
- Overall winner of the 2014 Livingroom Customer Service Awards Team at Seafresh fishmongers
