Nearly two weeks since they were rescued and our 3 hoglets eyes have started to open and are doing very well.
Widge, Midge and Fidge were rescued after being found with no mother in sight.
Ambulance Collection Officer Geoff George attended the scene in Torteval where they were found all alone in a shed.
We are pleased to report the baby hoglets have been feeding well and are now trying to escape from their bed whenever they get the chance.

Sarah Ozanne Animal Care Assistant and current foster mother said "Fidge, Midge and Widge the baby hoglets I have been helping hand rear at the GSPCA and my home are doing really well and you can now see their eyes starting to open."
"They were rescued from the shed in Torteval nearly two weeks ago and it is great they are doing so well."
"With their eyes beginning to open they are trying to make the great escape so I may have to consider getting a more secure carrier."
"If you find a nest with a mother hedgehog please don't disturb them, but if you are worried or find a baby or adult hedgehog in need please do call us on 257261 or check out our web site for advice."
"Did you know you or your business can sponsor our hedgehogs and become an Angel Pen Pal sponsor and be part of their care and welfare."
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said "Sarah and the GSPCA team continue to work around the clock to ensure these helpless hoglets receive the care and feed they need."
"It is that time of year when we see many young animals and we are only a phone call away on 257261 if anyone has any concerns."
"We help on average between 300 and 400 hedgehogs a year and all are microchipped before they are released so we know who they are if they find their way back to the GSPCA."
"Widge, Midge and Fidge are still requiring around the clock care, but their eyes are opening and doing well and we will keep you up to date on how they progress."
"If you would like to donate towards these little babies or any of our animals in need we would really appreciate it and thank you to all of our supporters from the GSPCA who help us make a difference 24 hours a day 7 days a week."
