The GSPCA would like to say a huge thanks to all that supported our stall and to the fantastic volunteers who manned what was a very busy day.
The day had a theme of Guernsey Together – A celebration of community and kindness within the Arts and what an incredible day it was
With the most difficult year in living memory at the GSPCA the Arts Sunday gave a great opportunity to raise much needed funds and promote our work.
Beckie Bailey GSPCA team member said “We had great fun on Sunday and raised over £1000.”
“We had a hand print hedgehog which was filled with painted hands to make his spines and so many asked how animals they had rescued were doing and I was able to give them updates which resulted in so many kind donations.”
Tim Pellett GSPCA team member said “It was such a busy day and we all really enjoyed the Arts Sunday.”
“We just didn’t stop all day it was a great event and we cannot thank everyone enough for all of their support.”
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “The team did an incredible job on our stall at the Arts Seafront Sunday and raised an amazing £1080.”
“We have lots of other events coming up including the Bailiwick Big Day Out this Sunday, the Lions Club Guernsey Together Celebrates on Saturday 22nd August 2020, the Motor Seafront Sunday on the 23rd August 2020 and our biggest event of the year the GSPCA Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday on the 13th September 2020.”
“All the events we need volunteers to help and if anyone would like to give a few hours or even all day please do get in touch.”
“Thank you to all involved with the Arts Sunday and all that made it such a fantastic day.”
“Events like this help raise the much needed funds to continue our 24/7 work and if you missed the event you can still support us through our #GSPCACoronavirusCrisisAppeal by donating online via - https://giving.gg/donate/event/5876/GSPCA-Coronavirus-Emergency-Appeal calling 257261 or at the Shelter in St Andrews.”
