Last week the GSPCA celebrated 148 years and from those making donations to selling goods for us there we so many wonderful ways we were supported through this fun annual event.

Cat beds to scratchers, fairy liquid to bin bags, butchers dog food to PPE we had an amazing range of gifts for both the team, cleaning and the animals in our care.

“We have an online Wish List on our website and also an Amazon Wish List and with our current lockdown most traditional fund raisers weren’t possible but we did instead receive hundreds of pounds worth of gifts from those shopping online.”
“Shopping online can help raise funds at the same time as if you select the GSPCA through easy fund raising part of the amount through 1000’s of online retailers comes back to the GSPCA and it has raised over £2500.”

“A gift of a tiny bowl costing less than a £1 to a £600 intensive care unit, every donation is hugely appreciated and really makes the team smile that there are those that care and want to support our work.”

Steve continued “With few fund raisers and next to no boarding due to lockdown the GSPCA income has been hit hard and we need your support now more than ever.”

“With over 140 hedgehogs, 3 seal pups, dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, fish, reptiles and many birds we help over 3000 animals through the doors every year.”
