The GSPCA are very excited to announce we are selling locally grown Christmas Trees from Monday raising funds for the many animals in our care and for our vital work.
Tim Pellett GSPCA Community & Training Officer said “
The GSPCA, in partnership with a local entrepreneur, Mr Henry Browne, are pleased to announce from Monday 23rd November 2020, we will be selling, ‘chose your very own’ Guernsey grown festive trees, still fresh and in the ground. These trees are traditional Blue Spruces https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_spruce come in various sizes from 5.5 to 13 feet tall (2m-4m). Blue Spruces have an exceptionally low ‘needle drop’ and will last well throughout the festive period. As all trees are locally grown, the carbon footprint is reduced, supply chain and logistics minimised, your money will be returning into the local economy and it is aimed to plant new sapling trees to offset the uproot to ensure a sustainable and healthy future for all.
Your seasonal tree will be available to buy Monday to Friday from Monday 23rd November 2020. A decorated tree from the field will be on display for you to view and will be situated at the entrance to AJ Troalics and Sons Andorra Braye Du Valle Crossroads St Sampson’s.
As the seasonal trees are in privately owned field with limited access, therefore limited parking is available in the shop front car park of AJ Troalics and walk from there due to the risk of damage to your vehicle and the soft ground. Note, please be considerate when parking at this commercial premises not to block entries, exits or garages.
All payments for trees can be made by contacting the GSPCA on 257261 where our friendly reception team will be pleased to accept your card details. We request at this time that visits to the GSPCA site are kept to a minimum.
The GSPCA is able offer a delivery service, however this will be limited and a standing charge of just £5 will be added at the time of your tree purchase. If you wish to collect your tree, please advise the reception staff at time of purchase. Due to limited resources, trees will be cut Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th November 2020 for an expected delivery or personal collection, week commencing Monday 30th November 2020. We will have GSPCA staff and a small team from the Social Security Back to Work, ‘Work2Benefit’ scheme on hand to help with loading tree collections into your vehicle wherever practicable Monday through Friday afternoons.
AJ Troalics business is situated at Villa Andorra, on Braye du Vale, St Sampson, GY2 4RA. As you drive through the traffic lights by Oatlands Village, heading towards St. Sampson’s; the large open field is a few hundred yards along on the right opposite Braye du Valle House.
