A lovely evening learning Cat First Aid - Dog first Aid Course 28th March

On Monday we held the first pet first aid course at the GSPCA with a focus on helping save your cats life.
Taking the course was GSPCA Manager Steve Byrne who has over 20 years working in the field of animal rescue and with over 3000 animals through the doors every year at the GSPCA the team see cases of animal first aid on a daily basis here in Guernsey.
5 lovely ladies attended the evening and not only learnt how to save a cats life they also got to meet many at the Shelter after the course.
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “We have been running dog and cat first aid courses for over four years and have trained over 200 participants to help save animals lives.”
“We had a lovely evening on Monday learning how to save cats lives and although we don't have a CPR cat, Casper the CPR dog made his first appearance."
"Next week we have the Dog First Aid Course and there are still places available to join on Wednesday at 6.30pm."
"As owners of pets our worst fear is not knowing what to do if our four legged friend has an injury and this training helps pet owners learn and understand ways to help save your pets life."
The dates for the first aid courses are:
Dog First Aid 6.30pm - 8.45pm Wednesday 28th March 2018 - Ref - Dog 28/03
Dog First Aid 6.30pm - 8.45pm Monday 12th November 2018 - Ref - Dog 12/11
All first aid courses are a minimum £20 donation and you must book your place by 5pm before the course.
Within the sessions you get the chance to learn about what to do if you were faced with an emergency situation with your dog or cat. All participants receive handouts, a few goodies and a certificate.
