On Sunday the monthly charity bingo event held at the Royal British Legion in L'Islet was in aid of the GSPCA.
The GSPCA are hugely grateful to everyone involved and especially Maureen and Carole two of the organisors.
We must also say a massive thank you to those that donated towards the 90 lots of raffle prizes which were handed out on the night, each with a GSPCA bug toy.
Just some of the prizes came from the OGH, St Pierre Park Hotel, The Peninsula, Norman Piette, La Trelade, Freedom Surf, Mon Petit Monde gift shop, Nash Copy, Bonsai, Alladins Cave, Ceva, Co-op, Guernsey Picture Framers & Art Gallery, Buttonehole to mention just a few, all of which were promoted on the night.
Supporters started to arrive from 4pm and over 200 came along to play the 26 games of bingo and other games through the night with cash prizes worth hundreds of pounds.
Some of the GSPCA team went along with friends and family and all enjoyed a lovely evening raising funds for animals in Guernsey.
Helen Holmes GSPCA staff member said "We had a lovely evening at the Legion charity bingo in L'Islet on Sunday and raised lots to help the animals at the Shelter."
"It was wonderful to see so many come along and support the evening and also a huge thanks to all that donated all of the raffle prizes, it was ever so kind."
"We run a fun themed bingo every month for the GSPCA at the Market Bistro and the next is on the 14th July which is Bastille Day, so it has a French theme and is only £14.50 for 8 games and a French themed buffet."
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said "What a fantastic evening we had on Sunday and a massive thank you to Maureen and Carole who helped organise and run a great evening of bingo to raise funds to help animals in Guernsey."
"The evening raised over £1300 and we are so grateful to all that supported and of course to all that helped towards the amazing raffle prizes we had which totaled well over 200 prizes if you include all of the GSPCA bug toys everyone won."
"To run the GSPCA 24/7 and care for the hundreds of animals every day costs over £2000 so every penny makes a real difference."
"We have a fun bingo night every month with a theme at the Market Bistro and the next is in just two weeks with a French theme for Bastille day and we have plenty of tables available for any who would like to come along."
