Meet two of the new Senior team at the GSPCA Seb and Ali

You may have seen recently the GSPCA advertised for a new Supervisor?

Well the GSPCA are delighted to announce the appointment of Ali Le Huray to the role of Supervisor and Seb Goman to the role of Senior Animal Care Assistant.

Ali Le Huray GSPCA Supervisor said "I was delighted when I was offered the post of Supervisor as I love the job so much."

"We see many challenges at the GSPCA and I really enjoy being part of such a great team helping so many animals."

Seb Goman GSPCA Senior Animal Care Assistant said "I really love working for the GSPCA and couldn't believe it when I was offered this new post."

"I am currently studying through the GSPCA a course with the College of Animal Welfare which I am really enjoying as its great to learn anything that helps us care for the animals and do our best."

"I head up the kennel team and with normally 20 to 40 dogs we are always very busy."

"Working for the GSPCA we sometimes take our work home with us and there are a few of the animals that I have taken home to foster and some still live with me."

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “We are delighted to announce that Ali has been successful in being appointed as a new Supervisor at the GSPCA and Seb as Senior Animal Care Assistant.”

“Ali started working for us in August 2018 and Seb has been with us since December 2015 so over 13 years experience between the two of them and both give so much to the GSPCA and go over and above in so many ways so it is wonderful we can recognise this with these promotions which are well deserved as they have often covered when our current Supervisors have been off.”

“Their experience and knowledge help lead our team of staff and volunteers and we of course will be supporting them in their new roles.”

“We are often looking for additional paid positions to join the team at the GSPCA.”

We are currently advertising for additional staff members at the GSPCA and we are looking for the following:

• Full Time Animal Care Assistant Post with Night Duties
• Weekend Hedgehog & Wildlife Assistant
• Weekend Cattery Assistant
• Weekend Receptionist (various hours available)
• Weekend Maintenance and Animal Ambulance
• Casual Animal Care Assistant and Receptionists

We have some departments that require specific help on weekends especially the hedgehog and wildlife areas, the cattery, reception on Saturdays and help with maintenance and the animal ambulance.
