With only 11 days left to nominate there a person or charity in Guernsey you think deserves a Petplan & ADCH Animal Charity Award?
24 hours 7 days a week staff and volunteers work to care for and rescue animals every day here in Guernsey and this is a way for them to receive national recognition.
The closing date is the 31st March 2014.
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said 'We are graced here in Guernsey with many amazing people who help make a difference to animals every day and it would be wonderful for the rest of the UK to find out how much goes on for animal welfare in our beautiful island.'
'Much has happened and is happening as we speak to help animals in Guernsey, but it is all because of people who put themselves forward to make that difference.'
'The Animal Charity Awards recognise amazing people and it would be fantastic if this year it could be someone from Guernsey.'
'Those successful will be lucky enough to attend a major event in the UK in May and will get the chance to meet hundreds of animal charities from across the UK and there even prizes for the lucky ones and their charity.'
The award categories:
- Animal Charity Team of the Year
- Animal Charity Volunteer of the Year
- Animal Charity Employee of the Year
Nominations are judged by an independent panel of key industry representatives.

What are the Petplan & ADCH Animal Charity Awards?
The Petplan & ADCH Animal Charity Awards recognise the outstanding work of staff and volunteers in animal charities across the UK. These new awards aim to celebrate the success of teams and individuals who have gone that extra mile to help rescue and rehome animals in need. Petplan has worked closely with animal charities and the Association of Dog and Cat Homes (ADCH) for many years and is delighted to be hosting these new awards to recognise the hard work, dedication and commitment of animal charities and the people who work for them.
