Have your furry friend painted by Guernsey artist, Gina Andrews. Originals are hand-painted in Indian ink on high quality Fabriano paper with any colour detail added using watercolour paints.
What is required?
High quality images are to be emailed to [email protected] for approval and discussion.
Large sharp images that do not blur when zooming in.
Images with no red-eye.
Subject easy to see in the foreground of the image.
Several images can be used to get as much accuracy and detail as possible with the portrait usually being based on one main composition finalised during the consultation process.
Sketches/proofs/consultation will be provided at every step of the process by email.
A deposit of 25% of the final price is required on order (once sketches/proofs have been approved by you) with the remaining balance due on completion. Payment can be made via PayPal, bank transfer or cheque.

Price includes consultation, all materials, preparatory sketches and postage.
Please note; prices are based on single portraits. For any additional animals to be included in a single painting there is a further charge of £25 per animal.
Frames
Each frame is custom made in the UK from high quality solid wood mouldings and hand finished by Gina with care and attention.
Frames use Crystal clear 2mm acrylic glazing, which is shatter proof and 20% clearer than glass. Frames are complete with D-rings and picture cord ready for hanging.

WORDING FROM PROFILE:
InkBison was formed in January 2012 by Guernsey artist Gina Andrews (currently based in York), who has been drawing and painting for as long as she can remember.
Gina graduated with a BA Fine Art honours degree in 2000 from Cumbria College of Art and Design; where she first discovered the joys of painting and exploring in Indian ink and where she could be found spending many hours, days, months sprawled on large rolls of Fabriano paper creating mosaic cartoons in ink.
Animals are very dear to Gina and they feature greatly in Gina’s illustrations and artworks. Gina’s paintings explore emotions and characters through anthropomorphism and her animal portraits, in turn, explore mark making in ink.
Gina is also available to commission for pet portraits: “To be given the opportunity to paint your pet is an absolute honour and a pleasure and I do this with the hope of bringing happiness and joy."
