Last Wednesday a female Jack Russell was found near the Performing Arts Centre in St Peter Port.
The white and tan, adult, female Jack Russell has no microchip and a purple collar with no details.
At the GSPCA we often see around 200 stray dogs a year, but it is very rare for a dog to be at the Shelter for more than 24 hours before we track the owner.
We have been out in the area trying to find her owner, sadly without success.
We have been sharing her information on social media, speaking to the police and other bodies in the hope of finding where she lives.
She has been in Guernsey Press, on ITV Channel news, on BBC Radio Guernsey and Island FM.
The fear we have is that the owner may be unwell or unable to contact us.
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said "In recent years we have always tracked down the owner of every stray dog within 48 hours and most are reunited the very same day."
"The stray Jack Russell that arrived last Wednesday although very nervous at first is a little sweet heart and we are worried the owner may be unable to contact us."
"If anyone has any information, if they know the owner or can even check your neighbours if you think she lives close by it would be much appreciated."
Yvonne Chauvel Senior Animal Care Assistant said "As we don't know her name so we have called her Fae."
"We have been speaking to the police to handing out flyers in the area where she was found to try and find her owner."
